Eligibility & Professions

Who can apply to NHMi's support?
Nurses, Clinical Officers, Clinicians, Physiotherapists, Medical Graduates and other healthcare professions recognised by UK regulators such as the NMC, GMC and HCPC.
Which professions do you support?
We primarily support professions regulated by the NMC (nurses and midwives), the GMC (doctors) and the HCPC (allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, radiographers and biomedical scientists). If you're unsure which regulator applies to you, that's exactly what the eligibility stage is for.
Do I need UK experience before I apply?
No. Most of the professionals we support are starting their UK journey from their home country. We help you meet each requirement step by step.

Process & Timeline

How long does the process usually take?
Timelines vary by profession and regulator, but most journeys take 6–18 months. Your personalised roadmap will give you a realistic timeline.
What documents will I need?
Typically transcripts, licences, proof of practice, English proficiency results and identification. We provide a complete checklist during your consultation.

Support

Do you support professionals after they relocate?
Yes. Post-arrival integration and ongoing mentorship are core parts of what we do. You are not alone once you land.
How does the free consultation work?
Book a time via Calendly, share a short profile, and meet our team virtually. We'll assess your eligibility and outline your best pathway.
Are you affiliated with the NHS or a regulator?
No. NHMi is an independent consultancy. We are not part of the NHS, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any healthcare regulator such as the GMC, NMC or HCPC. We guide you through their official processes — we don't act on their behalf.
